The ZJ Series Roots vacuum pump positive-displacement mechanical booster pump without internal compression
Introduction
The ZJ Series Roots vacuum pump is a positive-displacement mechanical booster pump without internal compression. Its core working principle relies on a pair of conjugate figure-"8" shaped lobes (rotors) rotating synchronously at high speed in opposite directions within the pump chamber. The rotors maintain very close clearances with each other and the pump housing without making contact. As the rotors continuously turn, gas is trapped from the inlet and forcibly transported to the outlet, achieving pumping and boosting. Since it lacks inherent compression capability, it cannot be used alone and must be operated in series with a backing pump (such as a rotary vane pump, screw pump, or liquid ring pump). It achieves maximum pumping efficiency in the medium-pressure range.
"ZJ" is the standard Chinese designation for Roots vacuum pumps (Z for "Zhen" Kong - Vacuum, J for "Ji" Xie - Mechanical boosting).
